• Characteristics of DC01 Series Cold Rolled Steel:

This type of cold rolled steel is rolled at room temperature, below its recrystallization temperature. From a metallurgical perspective, cold rolled steel is more favorable than hot rolled steel because it provides excellent dimensional tolerances, improved surface texture and finish, increased strength, and enhanced weldability. It is produced by cooling hot rolled steel to room temperature and then passing it through a series of rollers.

• What is Cold Rolled Steel?

When steel is above its recrystallization temperature, it can be shaped and formed. The process of cold rolling occurs when hot rolled steel billets are passed through rollers at a temperature below their recrystallization point. This process compresses and flattens hot rolled steel into thinner thicknesses. Cold rolled steel is widely used in structural components such as beams or columns, as well as in casings such as truck trailers or train carriages. It is also applied in stamped parts and other components where surface finish and dimensional tolerance are important.
