Galvalume steel coil is a steel product made from cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel sheets. Through a continuous hot-dip coating process, a layer of alloy coating composed of aluminum, zinc, and a small amount of silicon is deposited on the surface of the substrate. Combining the advantages of aluminum and zinc, it offers excellent corrosion resistance and good processability, making it a highly efficient and economical anti-corrosion steel.
As the foundation for galvalume steel coil, the substrate is typically made of high-quality cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel. Cold-rolled substrates offer a smooth surface and high thickness accuracy, making them suitable for applications requiring high appearance and processing precision. Hot-rolled substrates offer higher strength and relatively lower cost, making them ideal for applications requiring high strength but less demanding appearance.
Excellent High-Temperature Resistance
- Galvalume steel coil offers excellent high-temperature resistance and maintains stable performance at high temperatures.
- High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance: At temperatures below 300°C, the aluminum oxide film on the surface of the galvalume steel coil does not undergo significant oxidation, resulting in no significant changes in the coil's mechanical properties or appearance. Even in short-term high-temperature environments of 300-500°C, it maintains a certain degree of structural stability without rapid softening or deformation.
- Suitable for high-temperature applications: This performance makes it widely used in high-temperature industrial environments, such as ovens, microwave oven linings, automotive exhaust pipe heat shields, and industrial furnace casings. In contrast, the zinc layer of ordinary hot-dip galvanized steel coils easily softens and falls off at temperatures above 200°C, losing its protective effect.
