What is a RAL color card?
Since RAL became involved with color in 1927, it has created a unified language, establishing standard statistics and nomenclature for various colors, and these standards are widely understood and used around the world. 4-bit RAL colors have been used as color standards for 70 years and have developed to more than 200 types so far. The basic color card for matte colors is RAL-840HR, and the basic color card for glossy colors is 841-GL. These basic color blocks meet a wide range of applications and are used by many important companies and research institutions. The RAL-840HR and RAL-841GL color registries serve as color samples for use in designs and they also include safety and signal colors that comply with DIN and ISO specified color requirements.
