Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel Coil
This is produced by immersing steel coils into a bath of molten zinc at approximately 450°C. The result is a thick, durable zinc coating with excellent corrosion resistance. Hot-dip galvanized steel coils are ideal for outdoor applications, structural components, and heavy-duty environments.
Advantages: Long-lasting protection, strong adhesion, and cost-effective performance for large-scale projects.
Electro-Galvanized Steel Coil
Electro-galvanized steel coils are coated using an electroplating process. The zinc layer is thinner but more uniform, offering a smooth, high-quality surface. These coils are often preferred for applications like automotive panels and household appliances, where aesthetics and precision matter.
Comparison with Hot-Dip: While electro-galvanized steel coils provide superior surface finish, they offer slightly lower corrosion resistance compared to hot-dip galvanized steel.
Pre-Galvanized Steel Coil
Pre-galvanized steel coils are treated before forming, making them suitable for light fabrication, furniture, HVAC ducts, and other applications where extreme corrosion resistance isn't required but convenience and cost-efficiency are priorities.
