This is a very important term. Tolerance is the recognized allowable length or thickness deviation. Because in the production process of plates, it is difficult for various reasons. The actual thickness often does not reach the theoretical thickness. For example, a 6 mm plate is only 5.6 mm. This is the tolerance. In China, the tolerance is often a negative tolerance. Of course, there are positive tolerances, but they are very few. When buying and selling boards, they are usually calculated based on the theoretical thickness. This is why the theoretical price is lower than the weighing price. Tolerances vary by size, and the prices are also different. The price with a large tolerance is cheaper. For example, 6 mm , if it is below 5.5, it is a large tolerance.
