There are two ways to express the thickness of color-coated boards
1. Finished product thickness color coated board
For example: for a color-coated board with a finished product thickness of 0.5mm, the paint film thickness is 25/10 microns.
Then we can think that the thickness of the color-coated substrate (the thickness of the cold-rolled plate + galvanized layer, the thickness of the chemical conversion layer can be ignored) is 0.465mm.
Common 0.4mm, 0.5mm, and 0.6mm color-coated boards are the total thickness of the finished product, which is more convenient for us to measure directly.
2. The thickness of the color-coated substrate specified by the customer
For example: a color-coated board with a substrate thickness of 0.5mm and a paint film thickness of 25/10 microns
Then the thickness of the finished product is 0.535mm. If PVC film is needed to protect the board surface, the thickness of the film must be added, ranging from 30 to 70 microns.

Color-coated substrate (cold-rolled plate + galvanized layer) + paint film (top coat + back paint) + PVC film
The difference in the above cases is 0.035mm. The diameter of the reference hair is 0.06-0.09mm. We see that it is actually a very small difference, but we must also pay great attention to customer needs when using it.
Use difference
01. For your own use, the requirements are not strict, both are acceptable.
02. If you have requirements on the number of meters or squares, the first method is a better choice.
03. For projects with higher requirements, 0.035mm is a big difference. Therefore, when ordering, please state your requirements in detail as much as possible.
Note: If there is no special requirement, the product will be produced to the finished thickness by default.
