Routine tests of transformers include:
a) Transformer winding resistance test
b) Transformation ratio test
c) Transformer vector group test
d) Measure impedance voltage/short circuit impedance (main tap) and load loss (short circuit test)
e) No-load loss and current measurement (open circuit test)
f) Measurement of insulation resistance
g) Dielectric test of transformer.
h) On-load tap changer test.
i) Conduct an oil pressure test on the transformer and check whether there are leaks in the joints and gaskets.
