Cold-rolled steel plate manufacturing process:
Cold-rolled steel plates are made by further cold processing of hot-rolled steel plates at room temperature, and the manufacturing process involves several steps, including preparing raw materials, cold-rolled processing, surface treatment, etc. This manufacturing process gives cold-rolled steel plates many superior properties, making them widely used in many application fields.
Manufacturing process steps:
Raw material preparation: The first step in the manufacture of cold-rolled steel plates is to prepare hot-rolled steel plates as raw materials. Hot rolled steel plate is rolled by high temperature, has a rougher surface and larger grain.
Cold rolling: The hot rolled steel plate is further processed by a cold rolling mill at room temperature. This process involves several cold rolling operations that gradually reduce the thickness of the steel sheet. The cold rolling operation makes the grain of the steel plate fine, the surface becomes more flat, thus improving the surface quality.
Annealing treatment: The cold-rolled steel plate is annealed, that is, heated in a controlled high temperature environment and then slowly cooled. This can improve the mechanical properties of the steel plate and reduce the stress during cold rolling.
Surface treatment: In order to improve the corrosion resistance and appearance of the steel plate, the cold-rolled steel plate may be coated or galvanized.
