The core of the amorphous alloy transformer is very fragile, and a layer of hard resin should be added to prevent the core from being crushed.
What is a non-water metal transformer?
Amorphous metal transformer is a kind of power transformer with low loss and high energy efficiency. The transformer has an iron core based on an amorphous metal. Because the material does not have a long-range ordered structure, its magnetization and demagnetization are easier than ordinary magnetic materials. Therefore, the iron loss (that is, no-load loss) of the amorphous alloy transformer is 70-80% lower than that of the traditional transformer with silicon steel as the iron core. As losses decrease, so does the need for power generation, and emissions of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. Based on energy supply and environmental protection and other factors, amorphous alloy transformers are widely used in developing countries such as China and India. Based on the power consumption of China and India, if the distribution network fully adopts amorphous alloy transformers, it can save about 25-30twh of power generation per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 20-30 million tons.
