High magnetic susceptibility oriented silicon steel, also known as HiB, refers to oriented silicon steel with a magnetic induction strength of 1.88T or more. It has excellent characteristics such as high permeability, low hysteresis loss and low iron loss, and is mainly used as the core material in the manufacture of large transformers, reactors and small energy-saving transformers.
Differences between HiB steel and low-temperature high-conductivity silicon steel in terms of grain size, magnetic homogeneity, grain orientation, magnetostriction and practical applications. Under the condition of the same magnetic properties, there is a significant difference between the grain structure of HiB steel and low-temperature high-conductivity silicon steel, and the proportion of grains with 0°-2° no orientation angle with Gaussian orientation is larger than that of low-temperature high-conductivity silicon steel.
