Non-oriented silicon steel production process:
The production process of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheets is complicated and the manufacturing technology is strict. It is to hot-roll steel billets or continuous cast billets into coils with a thickness of about 2.3mm. When manufacturing low-silicon products (Si ≤ 1.5%), the hot-rolled coils are pickled and then cold-rolled to a thickness of 0.5mm. When manufacturing high-silicon products (Si ≥ 2.0%), they are first normalized at 800-850°C, then pickled, cold rolled to a thickness of 0.5 or 0.35mm, and then finished in a continuous furnace at 850°C in a 20% hydrogen and nitrogen mixed atmosphere. Annealed, coated with semi-organic insulating film, then trimmed, slit or cross-cut into panels by a shearing machine, packaged, and put into storage.
Non-oriented steel with Si ≤ 1.5% can be delivered in a semi-finished state, and steel with Si ≥ 2.0% is delivered in a fully annealed state.
