Cold rolling is a manufacturing process in which steel is formed at or slightly below room temperature. It involves running steel through a series of rollers to reduce its thickness and improve its surface finish. Cold rolling can improve the mechanical properties of steel, such as strength and hardness, while also providing a smoother, more uniform surface. Zinc coating, commonly referred to as galvanizing, involves coating the surface of steel with a layer of zinc to provide corrosion protection. This process is usually done by dipping a steel coil into a bath of molten zinc. The zinc binds to the surface of the steel to form a protective barrier that prevents the bottom steel from corroding when exposed to moisture, air and other environmental factors.
