S550GD+AZ150 Galvalume Steel Coil is a coating material made of aluminum-zinc alloy covering the surface of steel plate. S550GD indicates the material and strength grade of the substrate, where S represents structural steel and 550 represents its tensile strength grade.
S550GD+AZ150 galvanized coil has extremely strong corrosion resistance, which is 3 times that of pure galvanized sheet. This is mainly due to the protective function of aluminum. When the zinc layer is worn, aluminum will form a dense aluminum oxide film to prevent corrosive substances from further eroding the interior.
S550GD Aluzinc Galvalume Steel Coil can withstand high temperatures of more than 300 degrees Celsius, which is similar to the high-temperature oxidation resistance of aluminum-plated steel sheets. It is suitable for high-temperature environments such as chimney pipes and ovens. The thermal reflectivity of galvanized steel sheets is very high, twice that of galvanized steel sheets, and is often used as insulation materials.
Since the density of 55% aluminum-zinc alloy is lower than that of pure zinc, at the same weight and coating thickness, the area of S550GD+AZ150 aluminum-zinc coil is more than 3% larger than that of pure galvanized sheet.
