Galvalume Steel Coil:
Galvalume steel coil (GL steel coil for short) is hot-dip galvanized (AI55%), Zinc (Zn43.5%), silicon (Si1.5%) alloy steel on the surface of the steel plate. It is a steel matrix composite material with excellent corrosion resistance. The hot aluminized zinc alloy steel plate has the excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance, heat resistance and oxidation resistance of aluminized steel plate, and has the excellent electrochemical protection of galvanized steel plate.
Aluminum plating methods include: hot plating, electrophoresis and vacuum evaporation, among which hot plating is the most widely used. Aluminized steel plates have good resistance to high-temperature oxidation and will not discolor for a long time at 450°C. The maximum use temperature can reach 750°C. It also has good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, especially corrosion resistance to SO2, H2S, CO2 and other gases. The corrosion resistance is 3 to 6 times that of galvanized steel plates. It is mainly used in automobile exhaust systems, heat-resistant appliances, beverage cans, etc.

Galvalume was invented in 1972 by Bethlehem Steel. GNEE Steel is the first licensed galvalume producer in Anyang, using technology from BIEC International Inc. in the United States. Galvalume is an advanced version of galvanized roofing products, consisting of steel coils coated with an alloy of 55% aluminum and approximately 45% zinc by weight. Galvalume also contains small amounts of silicon to ensure smooth and long-lasting adhesion of the alloy to the steel. It looks very similar to galvanized steel, but in galvalume the visible crystals are smaller and more tightly bonded, giving it a smoother appearance.
The zinc-aluminum alloy in Galvalume improves the quality of steel and aluminum and the entire galvanizing process. Galvalume offers good bare edge plating protection and molding qualities, just like galvanized materials. Its corrosion barrier and heat resistance are as high as aluminum. As a result, galvalume provides rugged protection against rust, fire and harsh weather elements and provides a sturdy covering.
