Coils are finished steel sheets or strips that have been rolled and the width of the sheet metal is greater than its thickness. Steel coils with certain coatings are weather resistant, moisture resistant and environmentally friendly. Coils are produced by different processes, depending on the desired result.

Hot rolled coils are steel sheets rolled at high temperatures to make the steel easier to handle. Hot rolled steel saves time and is less expensive to manufacture due to the simple and quick process.

Cold rolled coil has a better finish and is more durable than hot rolled steel. Cold rolling is the process of rolling steel at room temperature below its recrystallization temperature. While cold rolled coil is superior to other coils, cold rolled steel is more difficult to handle due to its higher carbon content.

Galvanized steel coils are made through a hot-dip process that dips metal into zinc to obtain a smooth coating. The coating is highly rust resistant and extends the life of the coil.
